Best Jet Boat Ride in Queenstown | Shotover Jet
You can drive to the site yourself or catch the Shotover Jet shuttle from the town center.
The entire Shotover Jet ride takes about an hour. It is the most exciting entertainment I have ever experienced. Even though there are signs saying phones are prohibited, you can still bring yours at your own risk-just make sure to hold on tight. The driver pulls over at a few spots, which are great times to snap some photos.

After the Shotover ride, it’ll be just in time for lunch. Take the Skyline Gondola to the hilltop and enjoy a feast for the senses at Stratosfare Restaurant &Bar.
It’s best to make a reservation in advance because the restaurant is incredibly popular- you definitely don’t want to wait in line for hours especially when you are hungry. The restaurant offers a buffet, featuring everything from beef to seafood, and Asian to Western cuisine. While you dine, you can enjoy panoramic views of Queenstown stretching out below you.

Luge Ride
After lunch, it’s time for the Luge! Tickets are available for one, three, five or unlimited rides, and I’d say the five-ride ticket offers the best bang for your buck.
There are two tracks: one is for beginners, and the other is much more thrilling. Steering is quite easy. To go, you just push the handlebars forward, and to brake, you simply pull them back. I’m sure everyone will get the hang of it in no time.
